Evy took first place in the women’s open class for one-person kayak at the 2017 Senior U.S. Slalom Team Trials, though she is too young to qualify for the national team.

A ninth-grader attending school online through K12 International Academy, Evy was the 2017 U14 overall European Canoe Association Junior Cup Champion. The competition took her to Slovenia, Austria, and Germany.

In August she came in first in her kayak and canoe divisions (both cadet, which is U14) at the U.S. Age Group National Championships, the third time she had won each discipline at the event.

When she was 12 years old, she became the youngest athlete to compete in the U.S. Slalom Olympic Team Trials. She finished sixth.

Evy is a four-time Junior Olympic champion in canoe and kayak.
