TACOMA, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Insight School of Washington (ISWA), an online public-school serving students in grades 9-12 throughout the state, is ready to welcome students to enroll for the 2020-2021 school year beginning February 27.
ISWA gives your student a personalized learning experience designed to assist those who seek alternative pathways to education. They also offer opportunities for credit recovery, which enables students to concentrate on courses in a condensed schedule (typically a nine-week period) to help students get back on track and graduate high school on time.
With over 13 years as a trusted education program, ISWA is a tuition-free high school option for all students who reside in Washington state. Authorized by the Quillayute Valley School District and delivered entirely online, ISWA combines online instruction, rigorous curriculum and the support of state-licensed teachers to support high standards of learning for each student who enrolls.
In addition to working towards their high school diplomas, ISWA students can participate in the Destinations Career Academy at Insight Washington, which allows them to discover exciting options for their future in career fields like Business and IT. These career pathways include options to earn local community college credit, participate in work-based learning, and qualify for industry-recognized certifications for platforms like Microsoft Office and the Adobe suite.
‘With college costs spiraling out of control nationwide, it’s smart for students to explore all the options available after high school. Our career readiness program lets students try new things, educates them about careers and work opportunities in their local area, and helps prepare them for many avenues to a successful career after graduation,” says Head of School, Cecily Kiester.
Overall, ISWA offers challenging academic curriculum and focuses on preparing a student for whatever avenues they choose to pursue after high school. Students take a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, English language arts, and history. Electives include world languages, as well as art and career and technical education offerings. ISWA also offers student clubs like DECA, online student groups, and social gatherings to foster a sense of school community.
Virtual classes are taught by Washington-certificated teachers who provide instruction during live online class sessions, and are available to students via phone, email and one-to-one meetings.
Students choose online school for a variety of reasons including advanced learning, a bullying-free environment, and the ability to support extracurricular pursuits or medical needs. ISWA’s online platform gives students the opportunity to pursue their academic goals in a supportive environment and at an appropriate pace for their learning style.
ISWA is now accepting enrollments for the 2020-2021 school year. Families are encouraged to attend an online or in-person information session hosted by the school. More information on ISWA, how to enroll, and a schedule of upcoming events can be found at https://wa.insightschools.net/.
